Chris Lugo and Health-Care Saturday, Mar 8 2008

This year Sen. Lamar Alexander’s (R) Senate term expires, and I plan on voting for Chris Lugo (D) for this Senate seat because Mr Lugo is a progressive candidate that, unlike many of today’s politicians, is open and honest about what he believes on certain issues.

In this video, Mr Lugo opines on the issue of health-care:—

Texas Caucus Rant Saturday, Mar 8 2008

OK—I understood (I’m Lying) yesterday why it was taking so long to calculate the results of the of the Texas Caucus, and why it was still at 41%. Today, however, I’m about to just have a stroke. I’m simply as piss’d-off as castrated rapist.

I mean…I understand that they have problems—but good God, fix ‘em already.

As it stands now, Obama has 56%, while Clinton has 44%. If these results hold-up—which history tells me they usually do—then Obama, and not Clinton, would get the most delegates from Texas.

Which essentially means that Obama would be the actual ‘winner’ of Texas!

The talking heads this week are talking about ‘momentum’ (whatever the hell that means…?—’to be currently winning’?). If these results hold, Obama should be the one carrying the ‘bullshit’ ‘momentum’ into the next contest, *Pennsylvania.*

*Edit—Apparently, there is a caucus in Wyoming on Saturday.*

What is up with the Texas Caucus? Friday, Mar 7 2008

Why the fuck is it taking so long to count the results for the Texas Caucus? It’s still at 41%—Why?

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Election officials in Texas have resumed counting votes from Tuesday’s caucuses after overwhelming turnout pushed the caucuses later than expected.

As polling places closed Tuesday evening, Texans lined up in bigger-than-expected numbers for the caucuses — in some places lining up in parking lots and overflowing buildings where caucuses were held.

The Texas Democratic Party stopped the count early Wednesday morning when it became clear it would take several hours to complete. They restarted later in the morning.

As of Wednesday evening, Sen. Barack Obama led with about 56 percent of state delegates in the caucuses, compared to about 44 percent for Sen. Hillary Clinton, with about 41 percent of the state reporting.

OK—I’m still piss’d.

American Conservative: ‘Obama Would Be a Warmonger’ Tuesday, Mar 4 2008

President Obama would be a warmonger. He would be a wide-eyed, zealous interventionist who would not think twice about using America’s “military muscle” (his words) to overthrow “rogue states” and to suppress America’s enemies, real and imagined. He would go farther even than President Bush in transforming the globe into America’s backyard and staffing it with spies and soldiers. He would relish the “American mission” to police the world and topple tyrannical regimes.—AM. Con.

While I find these claims shocking (or not so much), I find that the cover is a wee bit more shocking.

While I’m sure the picture is ‘intend’d’ to paint Obama as a psuedo-Christ-like figure, another person comes to mind:—Osama bin Ladin. After all, the people at the American Conservative couldn’t have possibly pick’d another picture of Jesus to ‘fix-up’.

I’m endorsing this guy for US Senate Monday, Mar 3 2008

WTF is up with the TN GOP? Thursday, Feb 28 2008

I saw this at the Tennessee GOP’s blog:

Obama has on the campaign trail pledged to rapidly remove American soldiers from Iraq regardless of the resulting instability and the creation of opening that would be filled by Islamic extremists, like Al Qaeda, in Iraq’s government and military.

Obama has pledged to hold a Muslim Summit to determine Middle East policy with the very leaders that have as their goal to remove Israel from the map, referenced Jews to be “dogs” and “pigs,” among other vile references.

I’m glad these people fight for our second amendment right:—I would really like to use it against these idiots.

I also saw this:

Americans welcomed Teddy Roosevelt’s strong stand on protecting wildlife and public lands, accepted his creation of the Department of Labor, and applauded his legal action against corporate trusts.

The Republicans of today clearly care about protecting wildlife.

Oh, and I’ve realised that the GOP is, in fact, the party of Lincoln. Lincoln did, after all, suspend Habeas Corpus.

And why are they all jump for joy over Lincoln? Last I check’d, we’re in the South and Lincoln led the ‘War of Northern Aggression’.

Oh, and just to start a philosophical argument—if secession is ‘illegal’, then we better start paying our back taxes to Her Majesty.

Boo-yah, bitch.

Is it just me… Thursday, Feb 28 2008

…or is Hillary starting to turn into a real BITCH?

(CNN) — Hillary Clinton criticized Barack Obama at Tuesday night’s debate for not directly rejecting the support of Louis Farrakhan.

“There’s a difference between denouncing and rejecting,” Clinton said. “And I think when it comes to this sort of, you know, inflammatory — I have no doubt that everything that Barack just said is absolutely sincere. But I just think, we’ve got to be even stronger. We cannot let anyone in any way say these things because of the implications that they have, which can be so far reaching.”

Farrakhan, the head of the Nation of Islam, recently made positive statements about Obama’s candidacy. The controversial leader has made many remarks that have been deemed anti-Semitic, including calling Judaism a “gutter religion.” Asked tonight if he accepted Farrakhan’s endorsement, Obama denounced those statements.

“I obviously can’t censor him, but it is not support that I sought,” Obama said. “And we’re not doing anything, I assure you, formally or informally with Minister Farrakhan.”

Grace Kelly Wednesday, Feb 27 2008

Well…I think it’s a good song, and I don’t really give a rat’s ass what you think! ‘Tis, after all, time for me to have an overdue fabulously ‘fierce’ moment.
